Jake Roberts

RBI Sports Academy is directed by Jake Roberts. Jake is a former D1 athlete and member of the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. His experience, passion, and coaching style is unmatched by any organization in the Midwest. Using pro style drills and analytics, we aim to give every athlete an individualized experience unlike any other. 

Some baseball accomplishments include: 

- Plainfield South High School: Played Varsity all four years at both shortstop and catcher.

- Yakima Valley Community College: Spent two years playing for the Yaks…hit .342 with 25 runs, 38 hits, and 24 RBIs as a sophomore in 2015…also posted an on base percentage of .459 and slugging percentage of .515.

Gonzaga University 2017: Played in all 53 games, starting 51 at catcher...Second Team All-WCC...WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention...led qualifying hitters with .449 slugging percentage...51 hits, .290 average with 10 doubles, six home runs, 31 RBIs, 38 runs scored...two errors in 460 chances for .996 fielding percentage...led team with 24 runs, 24 RBIs, and .538 slugging against WCC foes. Named to WCC Championships All-Tournament Team...ended year on 24-game on-base streak, the longest on the team entirely in 2017 season.

- Los Angeles Dodgers: Hit .269 with a .462 slugging percentage. Was an instruct camp invite and 2018 Spring Training invite.

Phil Bodine is currently the Head Coach of the Plainfield South High School Varsity baseball team. Coach Bodine's baseball achievements include:

Bill Krejci

     Bill Krejci received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Northwest Missouri State University, where he also played baseball. Following his playing career there, he served as the assistant baseball coach for two years, helping lead them to an NCAA Division II World Series. In August of 1978, Bill took the head coaching position at Southwestern Community College where he lead the team to 558 wins over 21 seasons. Bill has also served as the trials coach for 18U USA National Team, General Manager for the 12U National Team, assistant head coach of 16U National Team, Head Coach of 16U National Team, and Head Coach and assistant coach of 18U National Team. Bill has conducted coaching clinics on the national stage including Russia and Mexico. Krejci is a member of the St. Laurence High School Athletic Hall of Fame, Northwest Missouri State Athletic Hall of Fame, Iowa Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, Southwestern Community College Athletic Hall of Fame, received USOC Developmental Coach of the year, and, in 2015, was inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Hall of Fame. Bill has coached over 30 current and former Major League Players and is still actively involved with MLB and Team USA. 

Ryan Billo

​​Ryan Billo was raised in Orland Park, Illinois and graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in 2010. Ryan went on to play his four years of NCAA Division I baseball at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. Ryan was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention in 2015. He graduated with a B.S. in Special Education from University of Evansville in 2015.

 

Immediately after college, Ryan pursued his passion to teach and coach. Ryan was an assistant coach at North High School in Evansville, Indiana (2 years). After a move closer to home, Ryan continued his coaching at Plainfield South High School in Plainfield, Illinois as an assistant coach and head freshmen coach (3 years and counting).

Ryan is extremely excited about the opportunity to build the RBI baseball program from the ground level, and has very high expectations for his athletes on and off the field.

Jermaine Terry

Jermaine Terry is a graduate of Plainfield South High School where he was a starting centerfielder for the Varsity baseball program. Jermaine began his collegiate career at Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. Jermaine played 37 games there for the Lakers before transferring to Joliet Junior College where he helped lead the team to a 2016 Sectional Championship. He was first-team all conference as well as first-team all region. He then found his home and graduated from Lewis University. Played in 28 games with 22 starts for Lewis...hit his first home run as a Flyer vs. Minnesota State...belted four hits at UW-Parkside (March 25)...went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI, while also scoring four times at Illinois-Springfield ...Had a home run with two runs scored and two RBI at Illinois Springfield. His training style focuses on being a controlled and explosive athlete on the field,  allowing for players to develop skills that will take their game to the next level.
